It looks like I can make it to your race, that is on one of my few weekends off. If I come there, you ought to come up to the Internats in July at Milford. It's not much of a drive for you so bring some buddies and listen to the noisy toys!

man that sucks if only it was the weekend before i'd make it. I'll be 2 hours from there for 7 days and leave the tuesday before. they should have had it memorial day weekend that way people would be off and travel there :(

Isn't this road accessable by going up I-69 or is it easier coming up 27? I'm coming from Kalamazoo travelling on I-94.

There is a lot of Gas boat racing on the East side of the State. There is Saginaw, Milford, Rochester Hills, Warren and probably some others. Milford is the site of this year's IMPBA Internats but no Gas classes there but there is a District 2 race being held at the same site later in the season with Gas on Saturday and Nitro on Sunday. Look at the Roostertail to get dates and locations. Come on over! I burn Nitro myself but have a great time with the Gas boys too. Last year some of the guys from the North Coast Pond Hoppers came up to Milford and not only are they good racers but a crazy bunch!

Yup, Warren! they held a big Gas race there last year at the GM Tech Center. The race date got moved this year because of the 50th Anniversary party for the Corvette was on their date. I think that they got Saginaw's spot of July 27th. Milford is up by Dearborn. If you have Mapquest or some other service like that, put in 17000 General Motors Road or go to: http://www.fordmodelboatclub.com/ The D-2 race is held at the pond just to the left of the Park entrance, the Internats pond is straight back. The plus also is that it's a very nice campground with lots of activities if you want to stay the weekend and you should. I know where Windsor is, I was there once a long time ago. I couldn't tell you the mileage, Mapquest can give you an idea as to how far but I don't trust that site, sometimes they take you too far out of the way.

Here's a site that can help you out with D-2 races. It is a nitro site that Canadian Tony Jacuzzi runs. Go to "Race Re-caps" and you can find the dates and sites in there.
Ok, I'm heading to get horizontal for the night.
Oh yeah, don't dig around in there too much or you might find a pic of me.
