I'll be purchasing a Hyper 7 PBS AND a JR XS3 radio set sometime this week. It's my understanding that a 6.0V battery pack is better than a 4.8V battery pack. If I get the 6.0V pack, should I get a hump pack (4+1 or 3+2) or all five cells in a row? I realize that five cells are five cells, however, what fits these cars the best?

I guess the best spot is on the right side of the chassis where the battery is designed to go, right? I mean, it makes sense.

Thanks.

I think the Hyper takes 5 in a row..

As for voltage.. if you go with a bog standard 4 cell pack with alkalines, you`d have 6v.. if you swapped the alkalines for rechargables, then you`d drop voltage. So all in all its best to add that 5th battery to make the voltage back up.

Most use a 5cell pack with the highest capacity available.
Depends on space limitations as to whether it's flat or a hump pack.
