thats pretty sweet. I haven't been in RC long enough to see what their product is like but i'm sure the other high end electric companies are getting nervous.

I dont see how you could have gottin it, because Jim is still getting the network going, and that has to be done befor getting any apps accepted. So he may be considering, but nothing has been decided yet.

I used nothing but Tekin chargers for years from the 870 to the 112A and used their escs from the 410 to the G9. When I start seeing their items available then I'll get real happy.
Tekin Products: 1-870, 5-100L, 2-210 reflex, 2 -112A, 1-410G, 3-411G3, 1-411g, 3-412G3, 2-G9 supersonics and a Tekin motor checker.

I LOVE this game! Tekken 4 wasn't quite up to par, but I have high hopes for the sequel.

i never heard anything good about their customer service. that's why i went with novak when i started buying "real" electronics. they have a long, hard road ahead, i think.

All of my electrics are still Tekins, 411's, 420's, and a few others. Most of them are over 10 years old and have passed the tests of 10-cell packs and 9-turn singles in overgeared off-road stuff. The issue with Tekin was NEVER customer service or quality, those saying so have usually bought the SpeedStar (It's an entry ESC, whadaya expect.) If you burned one out, you sent it to them and they fixed it, and most times for barely more than shipping.

There have been many "rumors" as to why Tekin went under the first time, and not one of them are confirmed. The most plausable explanation I've heard has to do with internal business management and nothing to do with the quality or competition with their products. My old Tekins are still as good or better than any of the Novaks I have laying around.

Hey, I'm still using a Speedstar P-IIIc in my XXX-T MFE stock truck. It's still working as if new and as long as you don't put in an 8T motor it will still be good. ;)

Yeah I'm still using a lot of Tekin stuff like a G-10, Rebel, 412, 112a, 100L and 870. All are just as good as the day they were bought. So far I've been able to avoid the orange stuff, except for the XXtra Rx.

well, after the new brushless surge, i'll be nitro or brushless. my need for brushed motor stuff has gone down to nil. receivers, on the other hand, are a whole different subject

Good finally reliable esc's are back. Lrp's are good but way too overpriced and novak's just don't last. Plus back in the day the tekins were always better. I've got a tekin 408s in my losi jrx2 still works perfectly.

I've been using my G-10 in four cars over six years, two schumachers and two TC3s. It's in the TC3FT now and it's a perfect fit because you don't need that huge power capacitor. I have plenty of room to share with a Futaba HRS Rx (yes, it works with the HRS). Of course I'll admit that I never ran a motor with less than 9 turns so I don't know how it will hold up to the new motors but if past performance is any indication then I think it will work just as well.

I never had a problem with Tekin service until near the end, when you couldn't get products or someone by telephone or mail. I've only had problem with one Tekin product the 210 Reflex charger, it was sent back three times for repairs. Like some items you get one that isn't right from the start.

Cretin,

The new owner is/was aware of the customer service issue and is taking the appropriate steps so this will not be an issue again. It is called smart business.

Welcome back to the R/C electronics leader...Tekin.

i personally have a bc112c charger, and its on a totally different level than any intellipeak or MRC ive tried. Its amazing how something like this could have come out years ago, and its still better quality that new items coming out today.

Im glad to see they are back up!

Your LHS should be able to order you the Tekin ESC of your choice unless its some refurbished unit.

I purchased recently a Tekin G-10 when they had a deal on the refubished units ( $50 ) I got in the G-10+ I believe which is the 4 wire unit. Wanting soldering posts they sent me out a standard G-10, very nice indeed. Mine even had a dataport which I think the G-10 Pros were coming with.

Being a loyal Novak Cyclone fan, I always owned cyclones as the GT-7s had a bad tendency to turn into smoke bombs at our track. I was pretty amazed when I put my buggy down to run with the G-10, it easily out punched the Cyclone I had in it previous ( C2 model ) and was beyond easy to setup. Also, it had no capacitor to try and find a space for and didn't need a diode.

I have since purchased another G-10 for my T4, and I am quite happy with it.

I recently purchased a Tekin Rebel "2" for my Clod and it is awesome. The 6volt/5amp BEC allows me to easily use front and rear steering without a reciever pack. I dig the red case to.

For the guy who said Tekin has a long hard road ahead, sir you are dead wrong. Tekin is a GREAT company and people know it. Proof of this can be seen by opening up the July 2005 issue of RCCA to the readers choice awards, and the G10 PRO+ is already in the 3rd position. That was accomplished with virtually no advertising, and magazine reviews. Just pure Tekin loyalty, and proof that the G10 series is so good. Orange and Blue better watch out, I hear footsteps! I know from experience the new Tekin customer service is absolutely top-notch. Very nice people....down on your level. The G11 will be coming out soon, and will have all the features of the G10 series, but with less resistance, updated software, and adjustable drive and brake frequencies! Also there is no need for an external power capacitor or motor diode on the G10 and G11. I have a G9 that still works great, and a G10 PRO+ and BC112C that are serving me well. I have experience with the GT7, QC2, and more, and can honestly say the Tekin is better. (to me, for me)

Well ya, but I don't care that they're available from Tower, I shop at my LHS. Now I know that any hobby shop should be able to get Tekin though!
