Alrighty, I just noticed that everything Bolink on Tower is "discontinued." Did I miss something, or did Bolink just quietly die? I don't think they exactly sold a lot of kits, or bodies, so it wouldn't exactly suprise me if they folded, but I'd think there would have been something in the mags or forums about it already. Anyone wanna enlighten me here?

Yes, Bolink is gone. Most of their assests, like the molds and smaller companies like RaceTech and Dragmaster, have been sold off.

I think there was a fire, at least I heard about one like everybody else did, but then there was an open letter on their site that seemed to be admitting whomever owned the company at the time mismanaged things somewhat. I think it must be something like that, because while their cars didn't advance like the rest of the hobby, they should have been able to stay afloat with just the body part of the business.

Bolink closed their doors about 2-3 months ago. They have sold their molds and other items to new owners. There was quite a bit posted on rccars.com and the hobbytalk site. I think Steve Rule posted here and he's posted on the fantom conference site. Try doing a search for Bolink.

CDI is now selling the old Bolink bodies and I believe they are in the process of cutting Legends parts.

But from reading some of the posts on one of the other forums it sounds like they are encoutering much of the same problems Bolink did and are not filling their orders promptly. Cindy was responding on there all the time but havent seen her on there lately.

Bolink can't fill their orders promptly when they are no longer in business? The LHS is currently getting bodies and legends parts from CDI as we speak.
