View Full Version : What are you running

06-15-2004, 05:52 PM
This is a topic of what you have in what car and how it performs. Give as best of a description as you can give.

T-Maxx with Ritter pipe and Sirrio 2.5 piston/sleve & conrod, CNR head.
It works great and the temps are managable. Thinks on Racing it but Don't have the guts :D .

Associate Nitro TC3 Fantom works high end pipe, Dynimite Rear exhaust conversion, Fantom FR.12 03 Rear exhaust. Just got the engine will update later.

NTC3 running OS .12 TR and the duel chamber pipe. Great engine! has good power on the low and high. always starts instantly on the box, easy to tune. Estimates are a little over 55.

GS Storm running Paris/Picco G1 with a RB 9886 pipe. Insane low end and awesome overall power throughout the whole power band. Way too much power for my track but its a great combo.

Team GT with a Fantom FR12 and stock pipe. I'm looking into getting the Fantom werks pipe to throw on it. Otherwise the FR12 is so freakin' powerful. .12's are so perfect for ST's its great. The FR12 is so awesome it holds a tune perfectly and runs so well. It will flip on the other side of the track and i can walk to it and flip it and hit the gas and its off. Runs consitently at around 230 and i couldn't say more about it. Freakin' sweet.

At the moment..

.2.HPI NMT hot bodys .18 the rest is bone stock..(35mph)
.3.Kyosho Kanai 2 (Novarossi in the mail).(421b)(50mph)
.4.flying point probe 1/8 buggy .21 Leo..(bash buggy).(50mph)
.5.Kyosho USA1 nitro crusher monster truck..hyper.21 8 port race engine.(45-50mph).

Whos next.?.the mph speeds I have given are only GESTIMATES and are on the slower side of my guesses I dont want to get bagged for exadurating... :) :)

Electric TC3
ESC - Keyence AO7r
Motor - Reedy Quad 19 turn
Tires - SpeedMind 26mm foam tires
My TC3 drives pretty well, really responsive and really good car that i like very much and willl give nothing for it.

Thunder Tiger TS4n
Engine - 12r SS pullstart
Tires - Speedmind 26mm foam (front) and 30mm foam (rear)
Carburator - Rotary
Pipe - Stock
I also love my TS4n really nice car and performs well to my liking, had this car for 3 months and no problems and i'm happy. it performs about the same as my TC3 i'd say but i'd choose the TS4n over the TC3 becasue of how it handles. Please don't comment on this this is just my opinion and it is what i perfer becasu of how i set it up. Thanks.

where do I start....all electrics, all 6 cell packs(12 cells for EVX's) varying between 1400mah cheapies, up to 3300's....

#1. Juggernaut2: twin 19t's, LRP f1 pro, fast torquey, good for bashing(had to add sway bars to stop the wild torque steer tho...)

#2. Juggernaut2: stock silver cans, 100% stock truck(shelf queen), very very slow....

#3 Juggernaut2 project: not yet complete but she will be running twin 10t P94's w/ twin Nosram Patriot ESC's, on 6 cells each(it ahs these already but the suspeniosn is not finished, so I dunno how fast she will be)

TXT-1: twin 14t orion orbitals, LRP f1 pro, straight shocks(no cantis) very fast, great fast basher - would hold its own racing other MT's.

#1 Clod: twin 17t havoks, Nosram patriot reverse, pretty fast, handles well, good basher....

#2 clod stock(built from spares) silver cans, novak reactor ESC, slow slow and even slower, but kinda fun....

Wild daggers:

#1. super dagger: EVX/Titans custom/alu everything maxx wheels - silly fast, embarrases(sp?) the TXT and E-maxx for raw pace and runs far longer

#2. stealth dagger: all black anodized alu parts, twin 17t orion rush motors, Apex Cube ESC(no I hadnt heard of it either till I got this truck), fast, doesnt jump well tho....

#3. monster dagger, twin 550 drill motors, rooster ESC(6 cells), TTR motor mounts w/ 16t pinions, very slow but unstoppable.....

#4. 4ws dagger, silver cans, Novak reactor(shares with #2 clod), 4ws, fun, slow but fast enough given 4ws.....

fighter buggy: 15t yokomo pro stock, rooster ESC(shared w/ clod monster dagger) - fast fun, especially since I stuffed King Blackfoot wheel n tyres on it

Pajero XB - silver can, Mtroniks eco 20, slow smooth, scale driving at its best

#1.XR311 - silver can, mtroniks eco20, slow, but fast enough to be fun, a bit too fast for scale...limited capability cuz of limited ground clearance for an off roader.

#2.XR311. stock, shelf queen, no RC gear.

Bruiser - stock, being re-built no idea how fast/slow

E-maxx: evx/titans, torquey torquey torquey.....

TL01 stadium raider: silver can, lrp f1 rev too fast as it is overgeared, cant change gearing without remaking 1/2 the chassis.....

TL01 on road, LRP fusion 10t, Nosram patriot - silly fast good for drifting tho....

thats about it for now....:p

Wow thats a lota cars Spoon.
I only got the one, a thunder tiger ts-4n completly stock except for the cen nt-16 that i just got, far better than the stock .12. The car is a great basher and does handle very good although i havent drivin it for a couple of weeks because of school but thats over now!! wohoo

Electric Evader BX
Motor: Orion Rush 21x2
ESC: DuraTrax Sprint
Tires: Pro-Line LP R3 4-Rib, Pro-Line M3 Bowties
Batts: Epic 3000's

Great basher for my track, trying to save up for brushless but just keep wasting it on other hop-ups :D, Also have a cooling fan "integrated" into the motor guard with the help of CA and hot glue.

Also have a cooling fan "integrated" into the motor guard with the help of CA and hot glue.

lol - dont forget the vital ingredients of all RC projects: duck tape, rubber bands, and hot glue.....and maybe some RC bits....just for good measure...:p

and thanks Eamon - I am a big kid really...I want everything, but I can only afford a little of it.... :D

RTR GT: RRP Spur/Clutch Bell, RPM Bumper and rear bulkhead, Dirt Hawg ll's, Road Hawg's, HS645mg steering servo, HS625MG Throttle servo, Futaba 3PM radio, Factory Team, CF rear shock tower, Factory Team Cooling Head (blue), another AE.15 w/non-ps clutch/motor mounts/flywheel, Factory Team Blue Screw Kit, and some other things I cant remember. Oh yea, Proline GMC Sierra body painted flueorescent orange and fasblue.

RTR NTC3: 2-Speed and thats it. HS645mg servo and novak fm rx coming soon. Along with an M3 body thats waiting to be painted.

Factory Team GT (dads): OS .15 cv-r and Jr XR2i radio with JR servos. Proline F-150 body w/red, blue, and yellow faskolor paint.

NTC3 RTR Plus (also dads): 2-Speed, AE .15, blue driveshaft (FT?), crowdpleazer body, chrome rims (all included w/the Plus), and the stock radio.

I plan on buying: Electric Rustler or Stampede and putting a HS645mg servo, fm rx (so 3pm can be used), Masher 2000's, paddles, wheely bar+skid plate, RPM Bearing Carriers, RPM bumper, and whatever brushless I eventually may go with. Down to a kontronik jazz 55-6-18 or Castle Creations Comp-X (out in like 2 months) with a Twist 47 or 55 motor, or if the Castle Creations has a 540 BL motor. I'm waiting for it to come out so I can see if it is any good before I buy a bl setup..
