Hi Nitrokid,

I've had both RCs and can't say anything bad about one of them.
I currently use the Mars, as for me the general feeling e.g. distance between trigger and wheel and centre of gravity are better. But obviously this is different for everybody.
You can't make a mistake buying on of these units. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hello Yokracer,
Thanks for replying. Well, both controllers are very expensive, im thinkin of buyin the Futaba 3PJS for its 8 unit memory...that would help me save some money. but i dont like the feeling of regret after i bought a Futaba and i dont feel its workin fine...so i would like to know opinions from users like you who have experienced using those.
thank you for replyin i appreciate it and it would help.thanks!

I have the 3pjs, it is a great radio, has a nice feel and is a well made unit... got to do a side by side when I bought it and the 3pjs just plain old FELT better... I never got a chance to use the kopropo, but after the feel of the futaba, I really didn't want to...

Hi Nitrokid,

the Mars has a 10 model memory and has bunch of setup features for electric and also special ones for nitro cars.
in my opinion I would go for the Mars.
What I would not buy, is an Airtronics radio if you are running nitro cars as I know alot of people with problems on the receiver side http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/tongue.gif.

hey you could get a Hitec Lynx 3D i mean wuth the dual conversion receiver and the spectra module it looks like a real winner for nitro applications i also would suggest an JR XR3 or R1

I have a Mars EX-1 and it is great! It is easy to change settings and I have had no problems.

I love my M8! Run it in an MBX-4, TMaxx, and TS4n (all nitro) with zero problems. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif That's what I'd recommend.

I looked into the Lynx3D before I got the Mars. Everywere I read anout it, it really sounded great. I then went to the local hobbyshop and had a firsthand look and it made a really cheap impression.

The Serpent Impulse is by far the most advanced 1/10 gas touring car on the market and ging by the success of Serpent in other classes they will lead the way. Actually Serpent has just won the euros with 8 Serpent Impacts out of 10 cars in the A mains http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/wink.gif.

i have a brand new problem... i just visited a local hobby shop, and i saw Impulse first hand then when i ask if thats the fastest car in the market someone butt in and said "HELL NO!" then i ask what is? he then say 1/8 scale cars...
the problem is...will i buy a 1/10 or a 1/8 if i buy 1/10 it'll be Impulse
if i buy 1/8 it'll be Vector
any suggestions....
remember im only a rookie in nitro cars my last R/C is Tamiya HOT SHOT2
Thanks in advance!

If you're a "nitro rookie" then stay away from the Vector! It's a very advanced, very expensive, very fast car that will only cause you headaches if you don't know what you're doing. Go w/the Impulse if you're set on getting one of the two...but I'd definately recommend staying away from the Vector!!!!

Dude you do not want a vector till you have drove an impulse for atleast a year and know you can do everything with the car (the impulse) the vector does 100+ mph you couldn't handle it if you were a rookie, go watch the cars race around a track you might not beable to even hold an impulse not sure, but get teh impulse and am m8, hitec, or mars ones stay away from futaba yuck.

oh yah one more thing make sure your LHS has the NEW impulse kit the one with the 2 speed its around the same price mabye 50 bux more but the 2 speed and a 2 speed clutch would run you 200+ if you got the old kit, so make sure you get the newest one.

Well then... I'm out of the 1/8 scale! hehehe
ill just go for Impulse. I just hope many people plays with 1/10 or at least have a tournament here in our country.
yeah, Ive seen the new specs for Impulse 2speed with NovaRossi Motor that i would get http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif I think ill get Mars too... alot of champions lately use it (No offense to Non-Mars user) http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
well, thanks again guys.
im off to spend money now
