View Full Version : High Performance FM Radio

I plan on purchasing a high performance FM radio. I'm thinking about an Airtronics M8 or Lynx 3D. Can anyone give me feedback on these radios? Also, if you can suggest another radio comparable or better than the two mentioned above, that would be great too. Thanks.

You can't get any better than the JR R-1, man! If you're planning on spending some dough, that's what you should get.

I own a Lynx 3D Spectra and I think it's the most "bang for the buck" radio system with the DCX rx. The instructions are somewhat confusing, but the unit has been very reliable so far.

Thanks for the replies.

Pops Racer - Does the Lynx 3D have a comfortable grip?

Distro - Does the M8 have a comfortable grip?

I'm going to be driving for hours so I want a really comfortable radio.

Depends on the size of your hand, goto your LHS ask if you can check out the grip ont he radios.

I think the grip is comfortable, but its better to try one at an LHS. The grip seems narrower than my old Python radio. The radio comes with separate foam grip tape, but I used some from a bike store instead. The radio can also be switched from right to left-handed. The steering wheel is foam covered.
