View Full Version : Clod tires for Stampede???

Ok i've seen all the readers rides that have clodbuster wheels and tires on Traxxas Stampede, I want to know how they did it. Are the wheels a direct fit or do you need a special part or do you have to make a part yourself?

The easiest way to do it and maintain the correct offset for the steering etc. is to take a set of the stock Stampede rims and epoxy them inside of the monster truck wheels you want to use. Unfortunately this means a very large hole in the center of the outer wheel so that you can fit a nut driver inside to fasten the rim onto the axle. One word of caution, the big stomper tires are a lot more work for the drivetrain to turn.

I think that there's a clod conversion kit for the stampede. You need like a special chassis to house the two motors, wheel adapter, etc, etc. Good Luck!

K & J makes several parts for the Stampede . You can get a 4X4 conversion kit , Clod Wheel Conversion , Tube Frame Conversion , or a kit which includes EVERYTHING !

dont know. they are definetely clod tires. (duh) ive seen a lot of em. look in tower hobbies. search for "clod tires" or something.
