I am wondering if I should get the TAO3R or the RS4. I want some opinions

That's a good one. I love both Tamiya and HPI. Both cars can have incredible performance. Both cars are tough. Both cars have tons of hop ups availiable. Both cars are easy to get parts for (depending where you're at). I'd say you can't really go wrong with either but if it really came down to it I'd probably get the TA03 simply because nobody can make a body like Tamiya can. Since you stated the "R" version I'd go for the Raybrig NSX kit since it's a great value with the included hop up's.

I would go with the RS4 series because of the quality, performance, and, price. The Sport 2 is only like $150 and is tough and capable of winning stock. HPI also has a Forum in which any question about the car can be answered quickly and correctly. Also, Tamiya bodies will fit the HPI's like a glove. All you need to do is use the shock tower body mounts which are included in the kit. HPI also has quiet a nice selection of bodies to chose from.
If you don't like HPI as much, at least look at some of the newer Tamiya cars such as teh TB-01 and the upcoming TA04.

For me, I go for Tamiya all the way. It also depends what u gonna use it for. But still i prefer Tamiya, the TA04 actually and or maybe the TB01 with all the TG10 hop up option.
