I have been getting conflicting advice on which pinion gear to use with my new B3. I have a P2K pro and I have seen recomendations of anywhere from 20T to 24T. What should I use? and will I ruin my car if I run a 22T as opposed to a 24T?

A 22T is safer than a 24T where the motor is concerned. The bigger the pinion, the harder the motor has to work. The pinion you choose will largely depend on the track configuration (if you're racing). The best advice I can give you is to ask one of the local drivers that's running a P2K (their advice is no good if they're not running the same motor). They should be able to recommend the right gear. If you run into a dead end there, then go with the 22.

SteveP, Thanks for the info., I will go with the 22T and see how that works.

Hey it all depends on the track if it has a huge back straight or a nice sweeper turn.
At my track ,pit stop hobbies , i run a P2k pro 81 tooth spur and a 24 to a 23 pinion the P2k can handle it!

Thanks, B3 Bomb. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't burn up my motor.
