I just purchased a DuraTrax Maximum ST Pro and broke the truck in. It's running like a champ but I've noticed the stock steering servo is a bit weak. Is this something that is generally replaced as a hop up for stronger/tighter steering control? If so what brand/model of servo should I purchase? Assuming I'm gonna have to lay down around $60-$70? Thanks guys!

Hitec HS-605MG or HS-615MG. These are about $40-$50. 605 .13/92oz. 615 (a little slower)/about 130oz.

Thanks for the advice. I'm relatively new to the sport. Can you explain the specs you've listed and what I should really be looking for? Thanks again.

The hitec 615mg is a good steering servo to use. It has about 110 oz/in. or torque with a 4.8v receiver pack (4cells) and 130 oz/in. of torque with a 6v (5cell) pack. The hitec 605 has decsent torque and is a little faster. Generally it's a trade off. If you want a whole lot of torque than your going to loose a little speed. If your not racing than that's not so important. Just make sure that whatever servo you choose that it has metal gears and dual ball bearings. This will give you more precise steering as well. BTW how do you like your new truck? I'm trying to decide between one of the new maximum pros or a stampede as my next nitro somewhere down the road.

Thank you for the clarification, I know what I'm looking for now. I love my Maximum ST Pro! It's a great nitro stadium truck with many extra goodies at a fair price. I was surprised by the power of the stock engine and when the second gear kicks in this truck moves!

I had been usig the 605 in my Quake it did a decent job of turnig the huge tires. I think it would do great in the ST with the smaller tires. As pool stated the 605 and 615 are the same price its up to you to decide if you want the extra speed or extra power.
