I just bought a new Triple - XT and followed the correct assembly instructions . My problem is with the 2 . 43 : 1 differential gear . The center of the gear has stripped out where the 3 / 32 " carbide differential balls pop into the small holes . I have replaced the differential gear and it continues to strip . I am running a stock Banzai motor with a 21 - tooth pinion gear and a 88 - tooth spur gear . Is it possible I have the differential screw too tight or too loose ? Could I have the slipper spring to tight ? If you have any suggestions or had a similar problem PLEASE HELP .

Trophycat - you ' re thinking in the right direction - your diff adjustment is too loose . the diff balls get extremely hot when the diff is allowed to slip excessively . This is what ' s causing the damage to your main gear . Rebuild the diff and adjust according to the instructions , and you shouldn ' t have any more problems .
