What does everyone here do with their old issues of Radio Control Car Action? I have way too many (several years) and I wish I could keep them but I'm afraid they have to go to the recycle bin.

Before I recycle them I might look through them (might take a while) to see if there are any articles I should keep!

I put mine on a shelf for later reading.

You can give them to me, and I'll suffer with all the space they take up for you.

I have tons too, and my wife thinks I nuts for keeping mags that I have already read. I do go back to them every once in a while for reference, and I just hate getting rid of them. I paid for them too, right? I have a huge shelf full of RCCA, the other 2 RC mags, Motor Trend, and Official PS2 Magazine. It is starting to sag, and may break soon. I'm sure the wife would love that! When I do go back to them though, I make sure to make a point that I am still reading them!

I take them to the local track and put them in a box marked FREE for anyone who might want them. Usually Novice racers pick thru them really well. I never have any to take home.

You could donate them to your local library with a gift subscription to keep them coming to the library in the future.

that is a cool idea... I used to hold onto a lot of mags but have now embraced the fact that it is better to get rid of them.

Your public library may also take them.

We don't keep things because they are worth money; we keep them as a reference to later veiwing (referring to mags). Think of them as an unorganized encyclopedia.

I keep all of mine next to my bed. I will probably keep every issue for reference and too look back to see how for the hobby has come.

Used to keep them in a bookshelf/cabinet/dresser lookin' thing. But I had to clear some space, sooooo, I clipped (though probably lost) all the useful/intriguing/cool articles out that I wanted to save, and chucked them into the trash. Those things get heavy when they start to stack up... :D

I usually let one other person use mine when new, but when He's done I let them stack up and if someone expresses an interest in RC I give them a whole stack and tell them to pitch them after they're done.

I can tolerate the space for about 2 yrs worth, then the older ones start getting a trip to the recycle place about every 3 months. I get too much paper sent in my direction and I'm constantly fighting with piles and stacks of paper it seems. All of it too important to throw away, lol!

I still have a few mags from '98 and '99. I keep them all because sometimes its cool to look back at how RC's were back then. Theres a stack of them in a box in the corner of my closet. :)

I still have the issue where they did the big Monster Truck shootout. Not sure what year that was and not sure what box it's in but it was cool to see all the trucks lined in a row.

Hmm.. with all those Mags, mabe you should build like.. a Shed in the back to Put them in there. Or move away some stuff and reserve liek a coner for all of it...I got 2 big storage spaces that I put stuff in that is easly reachable..

Must be nice to have all that storage space! I also collect comic books and hotwheels cars, so magazines are not high on my to keep list.

Why are some of you throwing out your copies!? The best thing to do, which has already been suggested, is to donate them to your local library. Somebody in your neighborhood may be in the library and come across your donated magazines. If they become interested, you'll have more rc'ers in your neighborhood to bash with. Think of read magazines as bait!

Rip out some of the cool pages with pics or awsome ads and dedicate a wall to RC! Make one huge giant collage of Rc pics and ads!! That would be tight.

I still think you should keep them... They MIGHT be worth a lot latter on. o.O??

I tend to keep all my mags, but I also tend to have way too many subscriptions.....so eventually I need to downsize. No real public library and nobody around that has ever really wanted them. So they have hit the trash :( I do not like throwing away reading material. I have had to spend the last few years moving ALOT so that makes it worse.

LOL.....and as a sidenote when I had a subscription delivered to Jamaica they almost never got there. Horrendous mail system unless we are talking about narcotics
