Well, I have finally taken the plunge. I ordered a TC4 - RTR from my local lhs yesterday.

My questions revolves around upgrades. I will be running the TC4 on an uneven parking lot that has serveral twists and turns. Is there anything you guys recommend me going ahead and upgrading?

lol... Mamba, yeah.
Seriously though, I'd see what you think of the car out of the box. The big thing is to make sure you get good batteries. They'll last longer in terms of charges, runtime, and give you more power besides.
Be careful about getting the ride height too high if your parking lot isn't perfect. You'll find that there's probably a good way around the parking lot that doesn't cause a lot of bounceage, and it won't take you long to find out where all the bumps are. I'd say just get out there and have some fun! If you find it lacks something, upgrade it.

My local hobby store carries the Venom-Racing battery (3000 up to 3600). If there is better (and I have heard some rumors about Venom) lmk. They sell pretty good in my area. Both of the stores that I go to have them, KC Hobby in Archdale (http://www.kchobby.biz/) and EXtreme RC Hobbies and Toys in Asheboro.

Venom batteries arent very good batteries. Get some IB or GP cells, they will be much better.

IB or GP cells.

I went to Horizon Hobbies http://www.horizonhobby.com/ and did a search. They show to have different manufactuers for each kind. Which do you recommend?

http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=SUMIB4200SP is a good pack, no assembling required. If you want to assemble your own pack, which is better if you know how to solder (;)) pretty much any unassembled pack will do, as long as its either ib or gp cells, and 3300 mah or above.

BTW, you have a PM.
