I have plenty of DMM's floating around, but none of them will read the values of the 1000-5000mAh packs. My biggest DMM 9MAC EM700) will read Amps no problem as long as there is more than 5 Amps present. What equipment are you guys using to test these parameters accurately? And please don't tell me "just what the charger says" LOL

I use a CBA battery tester from WEst Mountain Radio.

Thats pretty cool. is there anything else that you guys are using though? maybe something a bit less expensive?

You want accurate but cheaper than $109? Good luck with that. A DMM isn't going to tell you anything. Beyond that tester that was linked you're looking at something like a Turbo Matcher which works cell by cell in the pack and will run you well in excess of $500 new. The discharge readout on my charger/cycler is good enough for me.

I don't know what a DMM is, but will something like this fit your needs?

$55

I have one and works good for me.

digital multimeter. it will tell you resistance, voltage, amperage and all that jazz.
