View Full Version : Revo body mount posts too short

10-07-2007, 01:21 PM
Can someone with a Revo please comment? I've bought an e-Revo from eBay and a Revo body to fit on it. It's just so hard to put it on. The front mount posts are just a little shy to reach over the body holes. Are there after-market body mount posts for Revo that are longer than the stock ones?

Thanks in advance,

Welcome to RCZ!

I have a Revo, but this applies to all bodies and rc cars. Bodies typically do not have pre-drilled holes for the body holes, so you have to drill them yourself. RTR vehicles have predrilled holes for convinience though, but sometimes the do not fit perfectly. In that case, you can either use a hobby knife to cut out a hole (not recommended) or you can use a body reamer (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLLN1&P=7, or http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVJ31&P=7), which is the way to go. You can also use a drill and a steady hand.

If you mean that the posts are not long enough, you can extend or retract the posts by unscrewing the screws that hold the posts in place (just an fyi), or you can get these Proline extended posts http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJGR5&P=7.

That's all I know! Hope you enjoy the Revo and RCZ.
