Yeah, you tell me...
Sure explains the clicking noise... LOL

(Topshaft gear for those of you who don't see it right away.):)

I think you need to practice adjusting your slipper clutch.

W.T.F. is enough horsepower?

i agree you can never have too much power !

LOL the slipper is pretty loose.
It won't wheelie when it's cold because it just slips. After about 1 minute into the run, it starts to grab hard enough to lift the front tires.
I think it might have something to do with the fact that the gear is 10-11 years old, maybe more now. It didn't look perfect when I put it together but it had been holding for now. I guess those other steel gears finally took their toll! :D
And yeah, you can have too much power... Well I guess you can have too much power and not enough weight. How's that? :D

i can accept that , i like too have alot of power it is just cool, replace the shaft and see what else you can break, LOL

lol, I plan on it. I seriously have too much power though, especially for the available gearing. I went with the MM 6900 but should have went with the 5700, or even the 4600... lol

You can have too much power... You know it when most of your r/c budget goes towards replacing the tyres you blow after 2-3 mins of running

And yet I still refuse to run a carb restrictor or change to a normal glow plug... What's wrong with me doctor? :D

Which tranmission is that? Looks like something traxxas.

lol it's my Stampede.
I might have some pictures...
Edit: Just kidding for now. They're all very old and extremely huge. I'll take some later if anyone really wants to see.

I have too much horsepower. I was racing the car near some birds, a belt flew off and knocked one of the birds unconscious.

Good stuff rccardude. You like the stampede? My brother was thinking in getting one of the .15 nitro ones.

The electric Stampede is, as far as I'm concerned, one of the coolest r/c vehicles ever produced.
The nitro, on the other hand, is not. I mean, it's fun to drive but it's kind of poorly designed. There are too many things on it that make you scratch your head and go "why did they do that?" They're a blast to drive but given the choice, I'd much rather have the electric with a decent brushless setup. Or even just a 19t motor, that was a lot of fun.
