Went to the park with a buddy who has another e revo.

Both trucks did great, and got a ton of attention.

Lately I've been running only 3s, he was on 6s but a smaller, lower kv motor. Sized like a Castle 2650 but 1800 kv. I'm stock MMM geared 19/54. He definately had more power, but the trucks were pretty equally matched.

I've been running 3s, so I can run the lights off another 2 cell in the other bay. Today I rigged up an external BEC, at 6 volts. Now the lights can stay on with any cell count, and the steering servo is a bit more snappy too.

The wiring is getting a little carried away though. I gotta find a way to clean this all up.

6 color shifting LED's on the back. 4 bright whites on front.

Hey Ducatti does the light kit run off your main Battery and if so does it hurt your run times much.?.
I dont know much about electric RC's I do have a 1/10 onroad Brushless/lipo
and was thinking of a light kit for it.

Well it does now, through the BEC... I think after the BEC the draw is about 80 milliamps at 6s voltage.

By my math, the lights take up less than 1% of capacity over a run...

Considering my run times are ~45 minutes... its probably costing me less than 30 seconds of run time.
