does anybody have any experience in the rebuilding of servos department? i just finished rebuilding one of my servos, do the gears need to be lubed or should they be left dry:confused:

I can tell you this. My gears are lubed, so I suggest you lube them. I think every gear should be lubed, when it comes to R/C...EVERY gear.....

Servos are a sealed unit with a gasket , no dirt or dust should be able to get in. A light coat of WD-40 will do.

they definitely need to be greased, there is special servo greas, but i use greas i bought in electronics shop its teflon/silicon, (same i use in my diff's) and it works great

Save yourself some money and use petroleum jelly for the gears, it's almost the same stuff and works just as well.
