I have a super pocket bike and says i should mix 2 stroke oil and fuel to run in the bike, but i dont know how much that is? If it helps ,the tank capacity is 0.5 gallons, If you guys could just tell me how to measure it and how much that ratio is i would be okay.

25:1 means 25 parts fuel and 1 part oil. It's normally easiest to mix in larger quantities than 1/2 gal.

    this might help: http://www.rctek.com/pdf/fuel_to_oil_ratio_chart.pdf
NOTE: THIS IS A PDF, YOU NEED ACROBAT READER TO VIEW IT.

basically, for 25:1, you need 5.12 oz of oil per gallon.

    Hi ezm

Trek down to your local B&Q or Homebase (DIY store) and pick up a 2 stroke mix bottle. They cost about 7. You put a litre of fuel in the bottle, then add oil to where the 25/1 ratio is marked----> on the side of the bottle.

It takes the guess work out and is accurate

Btw,you might need a funnel to get the fuel in.

Also, the mix bottles are meant for petrol only

edit: If interested, then best check that the mix bottle has the 25/1 ratio marked on the bottle, before (if) you buy

I usually do it with 20L jerrycans. Fill up the can and pour in just under a liter of oil. I usually end up mixing it a little rich though.

Those containers look pretty handy. I always need more than a couple liters though unless it's for a chainsaw.

unleaded petrol is fine, diesel will pretty much kill your bike..

A high octain Unleaded fule will work best with the 25/1 mix.
It may cost alittle more per gallon/litre but its worth it...
