    Looks sweet
This may be my ticket to the v bottom Fast boat that I want rather then the BJ 26.
Have to wait and see how it looks when it comes out.

I would be cautious on buying one. If it's like the rest of the Pro Boat products, you will need to repair or redo several things on it before you can even put it on the water.

    Hydro Junkie
Do you have anything pro boat to use as an example
My buddy has a super vee and lets say I am less than impressed with that thing and I have heard mixed reviews on pro boat stuff also.
I like the black jack 26 brushless but I do not like the cat hull design
I have the villian ex and love it so far

there are thread after thread over in R/C Universe on the Pro Boat products and wht it takes to get them to work. All the Budweiser based boats have problems with light lay-ups, cheap running gear, leaky radio boxes, too light of rudder pushrods, bad balance, cheap plastic props and lots of others. I myself looked at a Gen1 Budweiser at the local hoby shop and was appaulled with what I found and couldn't see spending the money on a boat that would have cost me almost it's purchase cost in rework or repairs. When the so called "scale hydros" came out, it was the same deal almost to the letter. Hardware was a little better but the rest of the problems were still the same. Sorry, I just can't say to anyone to buy one of there boats if I won't do it myself

    Makes sense
I have not heard anything good about there products either just problems.
I have to say I am not impressed with the SV 27 either.
I have a villian ex and it's a solid runner.
    I'll just keep running that
    thanks for the heads up

Good Luck with the new ProBoat - but PLEASE be sure to let us know how it runs, how well it's built, etc. I recently purchased the Capricorn 54 after the article in RC Boat Modeler. It runs well and the manufacturing is excellent. The article talks about upgrading to a seven cell ( yes, 7) 7.2 volt battery, but such animals are hard to come by...

I would go to BBY racing and get a OM29 and put a BL in it and it will run very well...handle well and hold up better.

Box boats are great and a great price but they tend to begin cracking and having issues. I do like the BJ26 but most are very thin FG and even FG will not hold up. ABS will actually take more abuse than a thin FG hull.

  9. Help Newbe with sub-c cells please

Hi, Im a Newbe, atleast at posting I am. I have enjoyed reading and gathering knowledge from you guys for over a year or so and I want to take a moment to thank you! TNANK YOU!!

Does anybody out there have an inside on getting some sub-c cells (NiMH or NiCd) that are rated 3800 to 4500 mAH at a decent price!. Seems like everytime I take time to get right motors, ESCs, Hulls and Hardware etc. at great prices I can't get arround the price of the batteries it will take to finish a really nice fast boat! I have spent hundreds of hours on the internet (and suspect that maybe ya'll have done the same) without finding that one manufacture that can efford to let some go at a decent price!?

Bye the way Transom2, The article from RC Boat Modeler may have their math a touch off, I'm perty sure 7 cells makes 8.4 volts (1.2 X 7 = 8.4) Unless they have come up with cells that are rated at 1.028 volts per cell LOL

7 cells does make 8.4 volts
And as far as saving money on cells
    Good luck
    cheap cells are normally junk.
    Been there done that

i know it will have a proper rudder system not a steerable outdrive ( which was the BJ26's down fall)

Looks a little better than the BJ26 so far.

I will have to get one maybe
After seeing the SV 27 run which I have to say is very impressive other then it can't handle any chop.
I am hoping that this boat might handle a little chop cause of the deep vee.
But for now we are running Gas Boats
    they are awesome

  15. out on the water Fast tech

This is a great boat, fast right out of the box. Vary stable in rough water. Though it dose get water in it, not sure how. With two 5000mah batteries the boat moves. Plus it looks great. Thinking of going to lipo, any info on lipo would help.

jim9er2003 how's that prop working out?
I'm considering a prop upgrade and wanted to see if you noticed any difference with it. Also, what kind of batteries are you using?
    thanks

Another request here for an update on the prop for the Fastech! I have had great luck with the boat so far, right out of the box. Pretty impressive actually. With twin 7 cells the boat is especially exciting. Just looking to make it better as I do with every r/c I have.
