    hello gang! i am have a project going and i have a lighting ? hopefulley someone can help me out?

    i have a cop car light bar

    THE BAR WILL BE STRIPPED OF ITS PAINT AND PAINTED FLO ORANGE WITH NO BACK COLOR!


    i have the lights ,there r 2 leds from radio shack,the ? is how do i make them flash?

    i need to wire them up to flash.

    i need this explained in kindergarden terms,(lol)....i kinda wanna do cheap as possible....so that tamiya multi function unit is out of the ?.

    any part numbers what i need to get would be helpful

    You can't wire them to flash. You need a controller to do that.

    I know there are kits out there, but all the ones I've seen are pretty expensive.

    all you really need is a flasher relay out of a car

    jwa- your the second person who has said that,lol-its soemthing i will look into,my buddy owns a junkyard so i can go rip 1 out of a car,lol

    chad- yeah some units are expensive, i was thinking of maybe buying a cheap kids toy that has flashing lights.....i was told there is away to do it with a circut board and resistors from radio shack....

    you could also check ebay, you want a flasher relay or a wig wag box

    contact Norm (Team3Sixrc.com) he did an RC18 cop car with flashing leds.

    I'll post a link to a place that sells flashing lights kits that will work perfectly. I'll post later when i get home

    Go here: www.goldmine-elec.com
    on the left side click on KITS, then
    on the right side click on FLASHING LED KITS
    check out item # c4567 and c6825
    these are small led lights attached to a small circuit board attached to a 9 volt battery. you could get 2 of them and wire to just one 9 volt battery.

    Not sure if you can get the bulb it comes with off the board or not, but maybe an email or phone call to them will let you know!
