How'd u do it so it turned out symmetrical?
It looks like stickers/vinyls on it seeing as how some parts of the orange lava are cut off and another parts begin..

It was done with hand cut vinyl to mask and background. In some of the area's were it doesnt line up exactly the mask was left on and painted over. Just to keep the pattern from being redundant and looking true. The only place this is done is the back of the roof to the back I couldnt get the mask "exact" so it had to be cut and painted over. What do you all think, I love the way it turned out. The custom lid match's the model so well b/c it is a custom MONSTER. I am now working on a new lava look with some brighter colors hopefully I get it done in time to post it this month.

The question for me is would you sport the lid???

Also these pics are after a full break-in of the dynamite engine and then ran 4 tanks on the track. Believe me it took some abuse @ the track. I used a UV clear coat on the body as well just to see the color as glossy as possible and protect it against the triple jump that I cant clear on a local 1/8th scale track.

I forgot to mention the fuelproof fascolor protectant on the back of the lid to protect it from the nitro. Its the first time I used it just to test its ability. So far so good it will get its true work out this spring. Im also thinking of painting the windows so that it looks like a cockpit w/ a racer inside??? Does it need it??

This is my Traxxas Slash 1/10 scale
I used Parma Rally Green, Metallic Green and Chezoom Teal and testors black and silver.
The masking was hand cut out of masking tape (bleeds were a nightmare to clean up)
And Amature class considering this is my first one.
Its a slock Slash except for the body and the Pro-Line Split Six wrapped with Pro-Line Switch tires. (Oh and the R/C Nutz on the back aren't stock either lol!) The design was inspired when i saw an add for the HPI E-Firestorm.
