Well I haven't painted a body in a while so after seeing a ton of paint jobs recently , I got the itch to pick up the airbrush again and this is what I have so far....

Its a Parma Honcho 1/10th body:

what I am going for as in the paintjob, the flames are gonna be red to orange to yellow, the card symbols are gonna be their typical colors with a green back ground and the texas holdem letters will be in white

I used my plotter to make the letters, card symbols and flames-

rear section....letting the liquad mask to dry but to show you ,I am giong for a checkered flag look in the rear

The idea of the paintjob, yes its a lil different from what i have laid out but it gives me a general idea

I hope to have this painted up by tomorrow night

    whatcha think?

it's a cool concept. i bet its going to look cool after the paint dry's.
what color are you going to do the letters on the roof? if you could swing it wood grain would look cool as hell

thick layer of brown and while wet back it with black or darker brown.
Take a course, stiff brush an make the grain pattern by brushing the dark color though the brown in a wave-ish motion.
Will prob take some practise, works on furniture and stuff only paints go on reversed of that, as allways :P
Not really my kinda look tho..

spades and diamonds look alright. clubs and hearts should be a little more pronounced i think. front flames look good. rear checkered flag has some bleeds in it it looks like.

i noticed that as well. but you have to admit it kind of looks kind of cool that way. instead of looking like a tile floor it looks like a flag draped over the back end that could be slightly blowing in the breeze. i think it works better for the surface its on. its one of those "aww dammit" things that looks good

I got the symbols from a google searha nd converted them to jpeg to use on my plotter.I dont have any good software like coral draw or A.I, to get the images crisper

Yeah the checker s good have been better and I did google searches on them to but didnt like what was offered,lol....

Not to second guess myself but if i didnt do the checkers n kept with the symbol them threw the rest the back of the body.,but then again the checkers break it up I guess

Fester here is an open source vector program. Most all cutter software recognizes .svg files... standard vector graphics ..
    http://www.inkscape.org/download/?lang=en

There is a forum with a wealth of knowledge to get you pointed in the right direction... Watch as many tutorials as you can.. there are enough of them in the forums and all over the internet, you could spend a lifetime watching them.

    http://www.inkscapeforum.com/index.php

Once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad.. some prefer it to AI.. but I find it comparable, not better by any means. Then draw something with it everyday if you can.. or ever other.. because you will forget shortcuts, tools, etc.

    Good luck!
