Yeah it wasn't in bad shape at all considering it was a ex-racer.

Pretty much a shelf queen now

    Thanks

Great job there, what did you use of the existing truck? I've got what I thought was an old RC10GT but I guess not now, there's no white plastic parts on it..
I thought the blue tub was rare though, not seen one of those before :

Yours is defiantly a RC10GT, Tub chassis version. I'm not a expert on the nitro models, I have seen plenty with the identical tub just in black, perhaps yours was re-anodized in blue?

Depending on how early of a model, some came with white parts, then later all in black.

Do a google search "RC10GT Tub Chassis" You will find ones similar to yours, but black tub.

Everything, on my truck is of the original parts, Except 95% of the screws were replaced with NOS ones, Gear cover was replaced with NOS, and turnbuckles. All NOS Team Associated parts. Rod ends are RPM replacments, and the shocks are vintage MIP's

All the white parts, chassis, etc. are all original from 1991. All the white parts were throughly cleaned and soaked in a UV-H2O2 bath for a few days. Chassis was stripped and then powered coated.

Both bodys are original and left the same way I got them, one is in super nice shape, other has some repaired areas and a couple cracks. I was gonna do a repo body up like the original box art 10T, But decided to just stick with what I had.

    Thanks for the interest.
    Dave

The blue chassis was a Factory Team optional part. I remember them being kind of pricey (maybe $40 or $50) - too rich for my blood back in the day.

I'd hang on to it. The tub chassis GTs are cool.

For some reason, I really want a body like the Mad Maxx looking yellow one with the headers. Nice collection.

Is this thread for all old R/c cars? I still have a tamiya Tao 3, with a Peugeot body.

Hi. Maybe not the best place to post this, but I have an old rc10 graphite with stealth transmission. Is it worth it to put a new esc and batteries in it, or just pick up a new rtr? At the very least I would need new batteries, esc and likely motor.

    Thanks for any replies.
